Orange County residents must obtain a county tag for dogs four months or older. Dog tags are sold year-round in the Treasurer's office, at the Orange County Animal Shelter, and at two local veterinarian offices. You must provide original certificate(s) proving your dog's current rabies vaccination and sex. Dog tags expire each year on January 31. Dog tags for the next calendar year are sold beginning November 1 and are due by January 31st. Kennel tags of various sizes and amounts are available only at the Treasurer's Office.
